Council hold first Mobility Management Plan Network meeting
The Inaugural meeting of Sandyford Business District Mobility Management Plan Network was held on March 8th, 2012 in Bewleys Hotel with representatives from ten companies attending. The aim of the network is to establish a network of organisations within the Sandyford Business District to champion and promote the development and delivery of sustainable transport projects and initiatives in the area in conjunction with Dún Laoghaire - Rathdown County Council.
Among the objectives of the network are to provide a forum for discussing transportation projects and sustainable travel initiatives in the Sandyford Business District, to improve accessibility to the Sandyford Business District for all road users and to help reduce traffic congestion within the area through the provision of efficient and effective travel planning.
All companies in the Sandyford Business District are welcome to join the network and other organisations will be invited to attend the Mobility Management Plan Network meetings to assist it with its work from time to time.
More information on the benefits of joining the network can be obtained from Gerry Flaherty, Sustainable Travel Officer and Project Coordinator from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council on 01-2047945 or by email on gflaherty@dlrcoco.ie.
