CIS, the Sandyford-based construction information services provider has acquired its main competitor, Belfast-based Unearthore...

CIS supplies construction related firms with planning and project data used to compile sales leads, build profitable
marketing/sales plans, and win new business.

Unearthore, (formerly, Commercial Information Company), has been a major player in the NI market since 1980 and was owned by Pat McGrath who is joining CIS.

CIS managing director Tom Moloney expects the move will help to increase the firm's turnover by 20pc this year and help develop a market in Scotland as well as in Northern Ireland.

Despite a challenging market, CIS have shown the signs of a return to growth this year, the first time since 2007. "Already, sales this year are up 39pc ," Mr Moloney says.

CIS will be taking on two new staff at their Sandyford offices and the company anticipates further openings this year.
