Night water supply will continue to be restricted in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown and Fingal in the coming week, and some areas will also experience daytime disruption, the councils have said.

Leaks, burst mains and a strain on reservoir supplies caused by the recent weather have meant poor or no water for homes in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and Fingal County Council areas in the past week.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council said its water situation appeared to be stabilising. Some progress had been made in the Killiney and Ballinclea areas, as well as in the Gallops area of Sandyford, but supply could take some time to work its way through the system.
