The property has been sold to a city-based development company, and they are expected to seek planning permission for a seven or eight-storey office development of between 23,226 and 27,871sq m (250,000 and 300,000sq ft).
John Lally's Lalco development company bought the site in 2006 at the height of the construction boom.
Over half an acre of the original five acres was sold in recent years to the Railway Procurement Agency to accommodate a section of the Green Luas line which runs along the boundary of the site.
