Two hundred jobs are to be created after energy giant Airtricity announced plans to enter the gas market.
The power supplier, which last year secured 200,000 new customers after offering cheaper electricity, claims the new supply could cut a total of 210 euro off annual household energy bills.
Jobs will be offered in sales, customer service and billing departments with 100 new positions at its headquarters in Sandyford, Dublin and another 100 outsourced.
