Over the past few months, Smurfit Business School has been conducting a series of surveys and interviews across all business parks in the Sandyford Business area. The purpose of this activity is to gather feedback from businesses in order to assist with the formation of a strategic plan for the regeneration, future development and external promotion of the area under a new identity, the "Sandyford Business District."

One particular area of feedback strongly suggested that the Business District lacked "a cohesive social & community spirit".

Following consultation, the Sandyford Business District Alliance, Dun-Laoghaire Rathdown Council, Leopardstown Racecourse, Orwell Wheelers Cycling Club and SBEA have come together to organise an inaugural event for our area, The Sandyford Business District Cycle Challenge.

The event will take place at the Leopardstown Racecourse in the Sandyford Business District on Friday 17th September 2010 at 6pm. The event is open to all businesses and employees of the Sandyford Business District and all proceeds raised on the evening will go to the Dun-Laoghaire Rathdown Disability Sports Inclusion Programme.
