Creative Technology bring Irelands largest video projection event to life

“Immersive- seeming to surround the audience, player, etc. so that they feel completely involved in something”.

Creative Technology Ireland worked alongside Catapult for Theatre of Light to supply bespoke audio-visual solutions and bring the incredible artwork of Vincent Van Gogh to life, all inside the historical walls of the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) in Dublin.

From hearing the initial concept, to the in-depth design and installation, our live events team worked tirelessly to ensure that the exhibition upheld a high-quality standard and ran seamlessly throughout.

Using 34 20K Panasonic projectors, 11 quad output servers powered by AvStumpfl Pixera software, 3500 meters of fibre cable, 800,000 Lumens of projector brightness, 2TB of video content, 16 media servers of control and over 124 million pixels spread across the walls and floors, CT was able to help curate a fully immersive and breath-taking experience for visitors to take in the historic art.

Running for just over 11 weeks, the exhibition welcomed thousands of curious visitors to be immersed in the stunning and inspiring display, which included many of the famous art pieces such as ‘The Starry Night’, ‘Irises’, ‘sunflowers’, ‘cypresses’ and many more.

Spanning over 20,000 square feet, this is the largest ever video projection event held in Ireland, which we are very honoured to have been Involved in.
