Daithí and Ryan Sheridan announced for Leopardstown Christmas Festival

The annual Leopardstown Christmas Festival returns from December 26th to December 29th at Dublin's only Racecourse. With over 55,000 people attending in 2017; 2018 will again feature top class national hunt racing, festive fashion, food and top class entertainment in the form of Clare electro producer Dathí and County Monaghan singer songwriter Ryan Sheridan.

Playing his eclectic hits like "Mary Keanes Introduction"; electronic music producer Daithi is obsessed by the culture of Ireland. The choice award nominee combines nature recordings, old Irish samples and analog synths to create a unique type of house music that’s soaked in Irish culture. A mainstay in the Irish gigging scene, his live show is an improvised performance, creating on the spot dance music using synths, drum machines and live fiddle. Daithí will be performing after racing on Day 1 of the Leopardstown Christmas Festival on December 26th, St. Stephens day.

Returning on the 27th and 28th is Leopardstown favourite "The Conor McKeon Band". Winner of the ‘Band of the Year 2009-2010 /2012-2013 and 2016-2017; The Conor McKeon Band, if 2017 is anything to go by will have the festive marquee rocking after racing!

Closing out the Christmas Festival after racing on December 29th is singer-songwriter Ryan Sheridan. With hits such as "Jigsaw", "The Dreamer" and his timely version of Christmas Classic "Walking in the Air"; Sheridan began to write songs and perform them in cafes, pubs, and clubs. After playing with several different bands, he eventually returned to Dublin, where he became a street musician and began working on what would become his trademark sound. In 2011, he started to be recognised for his work. He went on to become a platinum-selling artist with sold-out tours in Ireland and mainland Europe.

Continuing the family friendly theme of the final day of the festival will be the addition of a kids zone in the marquee on the 29th with kids inflatables, face painting and a petting zoo!

The Leopardstown Christmas Festival, held over four days at Christmas is the perfect excuse to meet friends and family during the festive period.
