Comtrade Group launches standalone travel and mobility division ‘Voyego

Comtrade Group, the leading software engineering services and solutions provider, has launched a dedicated travel and mobility division called ‘Voyego.’

The standalone entity, headquartered in Sandyford, Dublin and Berlin, has evolved from the company’s existing mobility and travel department, which has enjoyed 40% revenue growth over the last 12 months through partnerships with industry leaders including Ryanair, AerLingus and Daimler.

Approximately 250 Comtrade employees will join the new Voyego team and will focus on helping airlines and ground mobility organisations to improve the passenger experience. Its innovative software solutions will also reduce the cost of payment processing and create additional revenue streams.

Voyego will focus on delivering mobile apps, responsive airline websites and innovative payment solutions that enable airlines to deploy new methods of payments quickly. The division also enables its aviation customers to generate ancillary revenue streams. For example, its Adnexa platform allows airlines to tailor and target advertising content for passengers through channels including boarding passes and in-flight entertainment.

For the ground mobility market – which consists of car-sharing organisations and companies developing automated vehicles – Voyego develops fleet sharing platforms and retail solutions, along with consulting and rapid prototyping services. The division has also created a Digital Transportation Lab to test new business models and emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence, chatbots and blockchain.

Voyego is hoping to continue the success it enjoyed as the mobility and travel department by doubling its revenues by 2021. The business unit’s predicted growth is also expected to create a significant number of jobs both in Ireland and internationally over the next three years.

Marko Javornik, General Manager, Voyego, said: “We have enjoyed incredible success with our travel and mobility department, particularly over the last year, and it’s time to take this to the next level through the Voyego team. The airline and ground mobility industries are two that offer huge growth within the current digital economy and Dublin will serve as an ideal hub for the aviation wing of the business.

“Combining cutting-edge technology with extensive travel expertise, we enable industry leaders to innovate through our bespoke solutions. We are proud that our technology solutions such as Adnexa and Avan2Go, an electric car sharing platform which has been rolled out in five cities in Slovenia, are powering leading travel and mobility providers serving millions of passengers throughout the world.

“Innovation is the way forward in this industry – be that improving passenger interfaces, streamlining payment processes or reducing time to market. The team has a proven track record in helping airlines to develop some of the most successful apps, websites and platforms on the market.

“This move will allow us to establish Voyego as more than an industry leader; an industry shaper and a global champion of technology that maximises the benefits to companies and passengers in the airline and ground mobility markets. Based on the success of 2018, 2019 looks set to be a defining year for both Voyego and the Comtrade Group as a whole.”
