SSE Airtricity signs the See Change Workplace PledgeS

SSE Airtricity was proud to sign the See Change Workplace Pledge as part of their commitment to building an open and inclusive culture around mental health.

See Change is an Irish organisation working to reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with mental health, and it has identified the workplace as a key setting for social change. By signing the Workplace Pledge, SSE Airtricity has become an official See Change Workplace, having completed the six-step workplace programme.

The programme has involved engaging managers, employees and wider stakeholders in creating a supportive and caring culture, where people are more open and positive in their attitudes and behaviours towards mental health. Over the last year, SSE Airtricity has worked with See Change to roll out a range of initiatives, including workshops for line managers and employees, an inaugural Mental Health Awareness Week, and training for internal Mental Health Ambassadors.

Klair Neenan, Director of SSE Airtricity, said:
“We’re proud to have signed the See Change Workplace Pledge, a real milestone in our commitment to building a supportive culture around mental health. It’s clear that mental health challenges affect people in all workplaces, so it’s crucial that we’re having open conversations, breaking down barriers and offering support to our colleagues. “We know that this is a long-term journey, and through our partnership with See Change, we’re continuing to learn about how we can reduce stigma and discrimination and let each other know that it’s okay not to be okay.”
