Hutton Collins behind Carluccio

LONDON (Reuters) - Investment firm Hutton Collins is behind a possible bid for Italian restaurant and retail group Carluccio's, the Sunday Times reported without citing sources.

Carluccio's, founded by chef Antonio Carluccio in 1991, said earlier this month it had received a preliminary offer approach but did not provide any details on the possible bidder. Hutton Collins has previously backed restaurant chains Pizza Express, Wagamama and Loch Fyne.

AIM-listed Carluccio's declined to comment on the report. Hutton Collins was not immediately available for comment.
