Hutton Collins behind Carluccio

LONDON (Reuters) - Investment firm Hutton Collins is behind a possible bid for Italian restaurant and retail group Carluccio's <CARL.L>, the Sunday Times reported without citing sources.

Carluccio's, founded by chef Antonio Carluccio in 1991, said earlier this month it had received a preliminary offer approach but did not provide any details on the possible bidder. Hutton Collins has previously backed restaurant chains Pizza Express, Wagamama and Loch Fyne.

AIM-listed Carluccio's declined to comment on the report. Hutton Collins was not immediately available for comment.
