Small Firms Association Elects Geraldine Magnier as its new Chair

The Small Firms Association is pleased to announce that Geraldine Magnier, Director & Co-founder of Idiro Analytics, has been elected as its new Chair.

The priorities of her tenure will be to support SFA members during this time of economic uncertainty. This will include the implementation of the SFA strategy 2022-2025 “Small Business: Ireland’s Future” which aims to create a level playing pitch in the business environment, and to work with Government and other stakeholders on the delivery of the new Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment’s White Paper on Enterprise, and appropriate policy for small firms and family businesses.

Additionally, she will seek more supports to help prepare small businesses for the low carbon, more resource efficient economy of the future, and to enable small businesses to be part of the ESG discussion, as many already carry out huge delivery of the 'Social' element of ESG within their businesses and across their communities.

Geraldine is Director & Co-founder of Idiro Analytics, a multi award winning company. Idiro is an AI company with an AI Ethics Centre and are pioneers in advanced analytics, working across multiple sectors.

In November, Geraldine was named 'Technology Ireland Person of the year 2022' by Technology Ireland, Ibec and has served two terms on the SFA National Council and was appointed Vice Chairwoman for the council in 2021.

Geraldine is a passionate advocate for indigenous business and the digitalisation of all small firms. She has served on the SFA Council since 2016.
