The Small Firms Association (SFA) today welcomes the announcement of a new Government circular intended to replace Circular 10/14: Initiatives to assist SMEs in Public Procurement, which was developed in collaboration with SFA and other industry bodies.
Elizabeth Bowen, SFA Public Affairs Lead said: “Small firms will be pleased to see the updated and strengthened measures in this new Circular which aims to facilitate greater participation of micro and small firms in public sector procurement.
“Public buyers need to be more conscious of our small firms and this updated circular helps to promote indigenous firms’ involvement in public sector procurement.
“As a member of the Office of Government Procurement SME Advisory Group, SFA will remain committed to ensuring small businesses are fully engaged with public sector procurement and the opportunities presenting.”
