CWSI Group targets growth in managed detection and response through new partnership with Chorus

Three new products will provide real-time protection with industry-leading response and remediation times

CWSI, one of Europe’s most experienced modern workplace security and compliance specialists, today announces a new partnership with Chorus, a UK-based cybersecurity partner specialising in Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR). CWSI predicts that this collaboration will account for up to 20% of revenue by 2026, driven by high market demand for fully managed cybersecurity services.

This new partnership complements CWSI’s existing range of security and compliance consulting and managed services, enabling the company to offer real-time managed detection and response (MDR) services to expand revenue streams from existing customers and create opportunities with new customers. Industry analyst Gartner predicts that over 50% of organisations that deploy MDR will adopt a managed solution by 2026.

Founded in 1999, Chorus now boasts a team of more than 100 people servicing clients and partners across the UK and Europe. Like CWSI, it is part of Microsoft’s Intelligent Security Association (MISA) and was recently awarded Microsoft verified Managed XDR Solution status – one of only a handful of UK partners to achieve this.

CWSI customers will benefit from the support of the Chorus Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Acting as an extension of the customer’s own IT team, this provides access to a dedicated security team without the significant cost or required training.

Specifically, the partners will be taking three products to market to provide ongoing managed security to customers. Underpinned by Microsoft’s advanced security technologies and delivering a broad scope of coverage for organisations, these offerings consist of MDR Endpoints, MXDR Advanced, and MXDR Premium.

These solutions offer various levels of threat detection and containment services across IT environments including endpoints, networks, identity, email, data and applications. In turn, they will not only keep businesses better protected but allow them to consolidate security products and maximise the value of existing Microsoft investments.

As well as enhancing security, these products can also help to reduce technical complexity and associated costs for organisations, including avoiding high insurance premiums. Given the need for businesses to hold accreditations such as Cyber Essentials or ISO27001, or invest in MXDR services, these new offerings from CWSI and Chorus will help to keep insurance premiums to a minimum.

Mark Mitchell, Chief Technology Officer, CWSI, said: “Growing security service revenues based on Microsoft’s technology is a key pillar of our future growth strategy. Bringing together two businesses with the security credentials and calibre of Chorus and CWSI enhances our reputations, builds increased trust with our client base, and enables us to keep them better protected.”

Nicky Saner, Managing Director, Chorus, said: “We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with CWSI, particularly given our shared membership in MISA. This partnership is a testament to the power of collaboration within our industry and underscores our commitment to providing the highest level of service to our clients. It will undoubtedly enhance capabilities, allowing CWSI customers to leverage our combined expertise and resources to deliver even more value."

Marcus Beer, Head of Cyber & Channel Sales, Chorus, added: “This partnership represents a significant step forward in our mission to make the digital world a safer place, and we look forward to the journey ahead. As fellow MISA members, we share a common dedication to providing our customers with best-in-class solutions and services. This partnership will undoubtedly enhance our ability to serve customers by extending the reach of our CSOC services through CWSI's extensive network and expertise."
